On behalf of the European Society of Pathology and the Spanish Society of Pathology we would like to invite you to Bilbao, Spain to attend the 30th European Congress of Pathology (ECP 2018). ECP 2018 will be held from 8 to 12 September 2018 at the Euskalduna Conference Centre next to the river Nervión. Join pathologists and scientists from all over the world to celebrate the 30th anniversary of ECP and become updated on all aspects of diagnostic and molecular pathology.
The theme for the ECP 2018, “Pathology: Path to Precision medicine” highlights Pathology as the cornerstone of precision medicine and underlines the central role of the pathologist in the multidisciplinary teams that guide patient management in the 21st century. Pathologists collaborating with molecular biologists, geneticists, bioinformaticians, and information technologists provide accurate diagnoses, prognostic and predictive information essential for treatment decisions tailored to the individual patient.
ECP 2018 will have organ-based sessions prepared by the ESP working groups, joint sessions with other pathology and clinical scientific societies, trainee-led sessions, and special sessions focusing on advances in molecular and digital pathology, quality assessment, education, histotechnology and public awareness.
Keynote lectures, as every year, will be the highlight of the programme with eminent colleagues enlightening us on different aspects of pathology and beyond. The ECP 2018 oral free paper and best poster sessions will be a great platform to present and discuss exciting new translational research in all areas of pathology, while the challenging diagnosis of rare entities will be showcased in poster sessions.
Attending the 30th ECP will also give you the opportunity to learn more about Bilbao and the Basque Country.
We look forward to welcoming you and having an unforgettable time in vibrant Bilbao!
